	Truly if you are saying in your heart that you are 'taking back control' as you put it, then you are in big trouble. But as far as meeting someone on the internet, as long as you pray God's will be done, what's the difference in that or meeting them in a restaurant, or at a friend's house, or at church, or some single's event such as a campout or seminar? No difference. God places people where they may meet one another. The Single's Success Stories attest to the fact that many wonderful Christians find one another over the internet. Many who would no doubt not find anyone in their local community simply because they live in a small town or attend a small church or whatever reason. I have had people delete their accounts with the reason that it's not God's will for them to find someone on the internet. How did God convey that message to them? And why do they feel so guilty about meeting someone on the internet? Is it due to all the bad stories about the internet? Of course the news media blows out of proportion anything bad. That sells stories. But there are fine Christian websites and fine Christian people who find each other on those sites. And of course, you'll meet the occasional jerk who makes their way past. But on this site, we do delete them when they're proven and caught. If you're looking on a large secular site, I would say God's talking to you to get out of there, but why a Christian site? Why the guilt? God prompted us to create and maintain this ministry for Christians to find one another and I doubt He's telling anyone to get off the internet, unless THEIR SPECIFIC MOTIVES are wrong. But that is something you must search yourself to find out. And if indeed you are trying to take things into your own hands.... then by all means, rethink what you're doing. But that is true of going anywhere to find a mate. Unless of course, you're waiting for someone to knock on your door. And in that case, I hope you're seeking a Jehovah's Witness or a vaccuum cleaner salesman. ;) As in all things, be prayerful and careful. God bless, Nannette

	Okay,I'm playing devil's advocate a little here. If we are seeking to be in God's will and hoping for His best in a mate,should any of us be here at all including me? Isn't it taking back our control and saying to God somewhat; "I don't like waiting for you to answer my prayer and so I'm going to go on this christian web site and see what I can do on my own." Kind of reminds me of Abraham and Sarah when God told them that Abraham would father a nation. It was many years between the promise and the answer and Sarah became frustrated and threw Hagai at Abraham and said "Here have a child with my maidservant because I'm too old." Look what happened and the mess it caused. I'm guilty too. I've been praying for a specific man with specific qualities. In my impatient attitude I took my will back and here I am. Yes, I believe that God can connect people through any means He chooses but I think we can miss His "best" if we're not careful. He won't violate our free will. Just wondering what you all think about this. S
