I really like your article and i'm sorry about your friend.
Loneliness is a major problem in our world
Its sad that a christian who isn't looking for a sexual realationship can't find christian friends
on the internet or anywhere.
Its hard to tell the differance between a non-christian and a christian
God must be first in our lives
But sadly love of the world is first in many christians lives
Where does one find true christian friends?
John4:7.Beloved,let us love one another, for love is of God,and every one that loveth is born of God,and knoweth God.

I just found out that an old friend hung himself 3 months ago. I had kept my distance because of, well, because he was so different. But in reading his online posts I found that he needed to trust and be loved. And I, a Christian, hadn't loved him.
I say all this because for the last year of his life he became a virtual hermit, only seeing his friend online or at some event or activity such as school.
We all like to meet people online, and most of us like to meet people in the real world. But two warnings:
-Always know people in real time; see them, talk with them, touch them, care for them (not just about them).
-Don't become a hermit yourself. It may feel or actually be safer to meet friends and soulmates online. But we were not created to live alone, or only socializing at work, school, church, etc. Spend time with your friends, for no other reason than that they are your friends.
One last thought: Look up everything that the Christian Bible has to say about love. Over and over we are commanded to love, and instructed how, why and under what circumstances. Then ask yourself, YHWH and some people who are close to you (and who will speak the truth, preferably in love) if you really do love your neigbor, friends, family, self, and most importantly, God.
If we love ourselves and other people we will be examples of 1 Corinthians 12:31-13:13. If we love God, we will do what He says and has said to do (John 14:15 and John 15:14).
Love first in your actions, and also in your words. Without true, agape Love, you are nothing. If you know God, you will knowingly experience love *and* love Him and your fellow humans
1 John 4:7-8
