Thanx for response Markus
I've been out of state in the Lookout Mountain area, tending to my dad...God spared him some years in a wonderful way. Pray he finds the purpose of the lengthened time soon...
In any event, a week and half hiatus, and VOILA! Many new posts! Love it! Lets keep the momentum flowing! Discourse here, in a somewhat public fashion, is always a good thing!
Spammers are not as big of a problem; this site could use a tiered forum-access method, where one would need to have a verified email address, possibly a month of membership before being permitted, and then even these new members only allowed to post after, say 24 hour delay for content/edit etc. The members clearly NOT spammers could be allowed real-time responses. Infractions by these "trusted" ones could invoke immediate membership privileges restricted for a month, second infraction, banned.

I agree that the age difference is more of an issue in the west than anywhere else. For example, I'm 41 years old, yet most of the women I'm corresponding with on this site are in their 20s/early 30s and live in the east. These are women who are open to marrying guys in my age group; and there are many.

When a member or a non member(freebie) sends a smile or a note, is it too much to ask, for a reply of SOME SORT? It just seems rude to ignore it completly *sigh*..... When my ruby membership is expired, I feel like leaving as well, this online stuff is too easily not taken seriously~~~~

Thanks, TXSmile and Mainegal, for your responses, which were insightful and persuasive. TXSmile, I like your philosophy and I wonder if our knowing becomes our showing in a way. Yes, we are in part responsible for how we change and there is much we can do in spite of genetic drawbacks (if there are any). Mainegal, thanks for your openness. I can relate to the health issue, having faced a good dose of mortality in my early 20s. (Thankfully, the rare-bird illness left me after an anointing). I am glad you are on the mend but sorry to hear of the resulting impact on your health. Yes, there are things that happen that are out of our control. Your courage and optimism surely helped you and will continue to help you. (Would love to see your photos sometime.) Also what you said about men not seeing the same way that we do -- very true, and yet I think there may be a certain sort of man who looks beyond all of the externals(though he would not need to in your cases)to find the vast treasuries within. Certainly there are men who are seeking good companions -- those women who will share in their favorite activities, be it fishing, tennis, map collecting, or studying. (Tried to not stereotype too much). Thanks to both of you for your strength and the wise words of advice you give on this forum, which have helped me and others as well. I think that kind of inner strength, which both of you exhibit here, is one of the most attractive qualities in women, no matter how much experience with life they have. Let's keep each other in prayer. May each find their deepest heart's desire! Amen.

I agree with you...about professional ID thieves... but one thing for sure we should be responsible in dealing others in this site...if we don't want to be scammed there will be no scamper." God bless.
