Profile Setup Tour
When you create a new account, you will be asked to create an alias. This
can be most any name you want. We do not recommend using your last name as
part of your alias. If you select an alias that is already in use, it will
return a list of similar aliases to what you selected, so that you can then
add numbers or letters to make it a unique alias and try again. Notice when I tried
to change my alias to Larry, the example below
displays all the "Larry's" online so I can choose a unique Larry, and
leaves my alias the same to allow me to try again.
I think I'll just stick with Nannette. :)
Go to the PROFILE menu by hovering over the PROFILE tab at the top of
all pages after logging in. The Profile Menu allows you to edit every area of
your profile. It takes you directly to a view of your own profile.
MY CONTACT INFO
Your email is always kept confidential to protect you from those who would collect
email addresses for spamming purposes. It is only used by our website to send you
notices of online mails and other news. UNLIMITED Ruby or Sapphire members may exchange email addresses
with one another via their online messages, at their discretion. Free members may
send personal contact information to Ruby members (not Sapphire and Free members), whenever
they wish.
The Description form asks questions that allow you to describe yourself -- reasons for joining,
gender, birthdate, denomination, race, eye color, hair, height, weight, children, children living at home, occupation, and education.
The Lifestyle form allows you to answer questions about how you feel in regard to
certain things such as those shown below.
The Interests form allows you to select Music, Hobbies, TV/Movies, and Reading that you enjoy.
These Interests may also be used on the Super Search form to
include ONLY those members who also share your interests. The Search results form will
then display the percent match for each individual based on your like interests.
The Comments section allows you to provide more information about yourself.
You may change your assigned password at any time. It is recommended that you
change your password anytime you suspect someone may have gained access to it.
Optionally, you may create a Photo Album and upload up to ten photos. You may select
one of these to be your Primary photo to display with your profile in the search lists.
And finally, you may use PROFILE to view your profile and to see how it will display to other members.
Once you have completed your member profile, the tabs for the Search, Mail, Chat, and Payment menus will also appear.
Note how, from each tab, you have access to certain features specific to the module you are using.
